This is me mainly just ranting about the current situation going on, mainly on twitter for those curious. I’d suggest looking on there for context since I am also a bit lost still? Anyways.
I find it incredibly disheartening to hear allegedly that the EW crew is being treated this way, I guess mainly it’s because of the fact that the animators are being treated like this. Especially since animation is Eddsworld’s entire thing. I don’t know. Eddsworld itself is very important to me personally, I have been very into it since about 2018 and I’ve observed the fandom since. I do think that the way Matt has been treated since his recent tweets are a bit weird / coming off as more or less judgmental? I am only hoping that his response is going to be a reflection of his position during Eddsworld Legacy, but I guess we all need to wait. Either way, that doesn’t of course excuse the lack of attendance (allegedly) from him (again, context on twitter). I’m really hoping EWCrew will be okay as-well. If what’s being spread around is true, I’m very disappointed and I only wish the best for the crew.
Along with that, a slight mini rant:
I find it weird how some people are stating that this shouldn’t be public to the fandom? I don’t know, maybe it is just *me*, but Eddsworld really isn’t anything without its fandom. The fandom has kept it alive for so long, the fans are the ones funding the production. So, basically, I’m saying that I feel as though we do deserve to be told what’s going on / at least something? Maybe that’s a controversial take, I’m unsure. Anyway, I have some Eddsworld ponies I’m going to be drawing soon :) I am very excited.
