Nightmare of Eden - season 17 - 1979
Y'all remember the Immortals?
Well, here they are in a short little summary. I have a thing in the works that you will see eventually. Here's a tag for my dear friend @the-hufflepuff-dramatist who is also a fellow writer who does awesome stuff. They also used to like this series even though it was real weird and always changes. O follow them.
Here's the thing:
Lyric Ocathra: Age: 15. The biological daughter of Hades and Persephone. Lyric is the black sheep in every situation with her very stand offish behavior, odd appearance, and even stranger powers. She had never met anyone else like her until she moved to San Francisco and met her very odd neighbor and his friends.
Hunter Wyle: Age: 15. A very awkward and quirky boy with serious abandonment issues. He is the son of Artemis and is intrigued when his new and very scary neighbor moves into his apartment complex.
Asher Sidney: Age: 16. The son of Apollo. On the outside, he's everyone's best friend. He's cool, collected, and kind, but inside, he harbors a lot of issues and sadness that he refuses to let anyone see.
Catherine Adams: Age: 15 1/2. The daughter of Eros. She's a great big ball of sunshine that loves the color pink to a sickening degree.
Eden Phillips: Age: 14. The son of Demeter. He's an socially anxious boy growing up in a family of meat heads that do nothing be squash his confidence.
Victoria 'Vic' Noelle: Age: 16. Somewhat of a run away. She's been in more foster homes than she can count and doesn't really expect to form any bonds with any her new Foster family. She is the son of posiden.
Adam Acosta: Age: 15. The simple son of a dryad (Euridyce.) He is a bit wary when becoming close to people because he's been lied to many times before.
Jase Carson: Age: 16. An angry boy with autism who has been kicked out of several schools for picking fights. His family is ruthless and he feels even more isolated even amongst the others as he is the son of the god of family feuds, Alastor.
Sarah Chaplin: Age: 15. The daughter of Aphrodite who can't seem to figure out why she isn't able to fall in love with anyone no matter who she dates.
Avery Jones: Age: 16. The daughter of Hermes. No one knows a lot about her.
Immortals: PHILA- Deep Friendship
Summary: Asher's having some issues. Lyric helps him out.
TW: talk about divorce, depression, parental issues and fighting
Character(s): Asher Sidney, Lyric Ocathra
---------------
Asher could feel the tears threatening to break out of his eyes. He had been holding back tears the entire day, making sure to distance himself from his friends so they wouldn’t worry too much. But he was really losing it in his second to last period. His emotions had become too much and was really close to breaking down in class. Lyric could tell he wasn’t himself. She had noticed his lack of color in his eyes and overall appearance. She had almost caught him crying several times over the course of the day and now she could tell he was at his breaking point. She raised her hand, keeping her eyes on him as she did.
“Mrs. Turner?”
“Yes, Ms. Ocathra?”
“Can I use the bathroom?” She asked, her eyes meeting Asher’s.
“May and yes, you may.”
She rolled her eyes as she stood, heading out of the back door of the classroom, Asher shortly crouching and exiting through the back as well, seeing Lyric at the end of the hallway.
“Are you okay?” She asked as he got closer to her. He nodded, biting his lip.
“Ash, I know you’re not okay. Tell me what’s up.”
Asher shook his head, biting his lip harder. She took his hand, caressing his knuckles. “Ash…”
He couldn’t keep it anymore. He fell to his knees and started crying. Lyric knelt down in front of him, gently rubbing his arm as he sobbed. “What’s wrong?” She asked calmly.
“I-it’s stupid…”
“It’s not stupid if it has you crying. What’s wrong?”
Asher sniffed, wiping the tears away from his eyes. “My parents...they fucking hate each other.”
“That’s most parents”
“No, I mean they despise each other, Lyric. We can’t get through breakfast without them screaming at each other. I can’t keep lying to my siblings, I can’t keep saying ‘everything will be fine’ when I don’t even know the next time our dad is gonna walk out on us! I…” He was quiet, holding back more tears. “He screamed at her. He said he’d divorce because he's so goddamn annoying and that would be the only way he’d get peace…”
That just made Lyric’s blood boil. He didn’t deserve someone as terrible as his father. He didn’t deserve to be put in the middle of their problems. She pulled him in for a hug, rubbing his back. “Ash, it’ll be okay.”
“How do you know that? How is everything going to get better?” Lyric shrugged. “I don’t. I really don’t. But maybe if you would stop hiding your problems from me and the others, it could make it better.”
He sighed. “Lyric…”
“Ash, you’ve been my closest friend for a year now, and I barely know you. You have such a need to hide just so you can ‘protect’ us. But you don’t need to! You can tell me these things! If you need to cry, then cry. If you need to punch the wall, punch it! But you don’t have to do it alone.”
Asher nodded, hugging Lyric tightly. “I’m sorry I’m such a wreck.”
“We’re all wrecks. Anyone who says they’re not is lying.”
“I’m such a crybaby, too.”
“You’re not a crybaby. You just have a lot of feelings. That’s a good thing.”
“It is?” She nodded, pulling him up. “It’s an awesome thing. Means you’re human, and that’s a hard thing for us to come by.” Asher chuckled, the color returning to his body.
“There’s the son of Apollo I love.”
“Love? Wow, never expected to hear that outta you.” Lyric lightly punched his shoulder as they walked back to class, where they were promptly given detention because everyone could hear their conversation since the back door was open. By the start of the last period, they send Asher to the counselor while they scolded Lyric for two minutes. But it was worth it.
She’d take a thousand rants and scoldings just to help out a friend, especially Asher. Once their after school detention was over, Catherine gave them another scolding while Eden went to console his boyfriend.
"Are you okay?" He asked, holding his hand.
Asher gripped his hand tightly, shaking his head. "N-no...not really."
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
He nodded, pressing his forehead against his. "Yeah...yeah."

Immortals
Immortals: Eden Phillips Analysis
Hello… it’s been too damn long. I apologize for my constant absence here and everywhere. I mean, I have been rebloging things but I haven’t really been posting my own content or maintaining contact with others and I apologise greatly to you all.
So as usual, my constumary tag to @the-hufflepuff-dramatist and now we shall get right into it.
Eden Phillips is the shortest of the Immortals crew standing at 4 feet and 10 inches. He is 13-years-old and the romantic partner of Asher Sidney. He is a short half Philipino half Caucasian male with honey blonde hair, brown eyes, and a lot of freckles. His birthmark is a rose on the middle of his chest.
He is mainly an introvert due to his anxiety, often finding comfort in reading fictional fantasy books. He has four other older brothers who seem more preoccupied trying to wrestle each other. As you can see, he’s not exactly interested in violence or sports in general. When first meeting the Immortals for the first time, he was very put off and very…scared of them. Mostly because of the height difference. Except for Hunter, he’s short too.But he later grew attached to them since they shared the same ablilties as he does. He especially grew attached to Asher because of his caring personality and his almost always being shirtlessness. Mainly because of his caring and understanding personality.
He tries to be there for Asher but it’s just hard when Asher refuses help most times for the sake of wanting to keep Eden away from his personal life. He will sometimes catch Asher crying when he thinks no one else is looking but he will bring it up later. Sometimes Asher will talk about it, occasionally he has a break down (which somewhat embarrasses him because he wants to be the strong one), and Eden is there to help him. It still does bother him when Asher refuses to talk to him about his problems, but he tries.
Part 2
Immortals 2 chapter 13
Asher walked home with Eden, both staying awkwardly silent. Asher knew at some point he and Eden would need to talk about what happened that morning, and it would be him to break the ice.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, okay? I just didn’t want you to worry about me…” Asher explained.
“I… I was worried…why d-didn’t you tell me…?” Eden whispered.
“Because I don’t like it when you worry. You start crying and- See! You’re doing it now!”
He pointed at his eyes that were welding with tears.
“N-no…” He whimpered.
Asher sighed and hugging Eden.
“Sweet pea… you know how much I love you, and I’m sorry for not telling you about… you know…”
“I know….. but can you tell me next time… please…?”
Asher nodded and kissed Eden’s forehead.
“I promise….”

Lyric had ended the training session very early to go to her room and breaking things, which seemed to be the alternative to burning things.
Hunter could hear here and grew concerned with every second. Hopefully, she wasn’t breaking anything important.
When she back to his apartment, her hands were scared up and bleeding.
“Lyric-”
“Don’t. I don’t want to fucking feel right now.” She growled.
“I’m not gonna fucking sit here and watch you hurt yourself all over again. I can’t Lyric. You’re too important to me and I-i… I can’t…”
He was crying. He was crying because he didn’t want Lyric to spiral back into that dark place again and possibly fall farther.
She felt guilty. She didn’t like him when he was upset, and she definitely didn’t like when it was her fault for causing him pain. She walked over to him and sat down with him, stroking his back.
“I’m sorry…”
“You don’t have to be sorry….. I shouldn’t have tried to pressure you and-”
“You weren’t pressuring me. I’m still not working right, that’s it.”
“I don’t like it when you get like this…”
“You sound like Mom from before… Guess she was right, huh?”
“I just don’t want to worry whether or not you’re gonna be okay or if you’re just going to just… leave… forever because you hate yourself or you hate me…”
Suddenly, Lyric pulled Hunter forcefully towards her.
“Listen to me. You could never make me hate you, okay? I love you and I would never ever think of leaving you. Do you understand me?” She asked, demanding.
Hunter nodded and hugged her tightly.
“I love you too..now about that dance next Friday…?”
“Really? Are you really going to talking about this after having with serious talk?”
He nodded confidentiality.
“Okay. So what are your plans for me?”
He narrowed his eyebrows and his cute evil smile crossed his face.
“Dress.”
“Not a chance in hell.”
“Please!!! It’s our first dance together and-”
“And I love that you care, but there is no way I’m wearing a dress.”
“If it’s about the time where Cathy said that thing about your legs? Cause we can get floor length if you-”
“If you don’t shut up now, I’ll-”
He hugged her before she could say anything else.
For now, she had a win.

Immortals 2 chapter 7
"Hunter, c'mon you have to eat!" Lyric demanded.
"No." He replied.
"You're acting like a child." She said annoyed.
He hadn't eaten the whole time he's been home and it was getting really annoying trying to feed him.
"It's instant ramen~~!" She said. He just shook his head.
"Ugh! Come on, let me take care of you!"
"I would but you kinda suck at it."
Now she was getting really mad. She sharply inhaled to stop herself from screaming her head off.
"okay...fine then... I'll be in the kitchen..." She said, talking through her gritted teeth.
"You okay?"
"I'm perfectly fine..."
Before he could ask her anything else, she had already gotten up to the kitchen.
"Jesus, it's like living with my sisters."
She agressviy took a bite of the ramen noodles.
There was a knock at the door.
"Yo! Lyric! It's us!" Asher said from outside.
"I'm coming!"
She walked over to the door, opening it.
"Hey guys, what's up-"
She stopped at the sight of unsettling and familiar face.
"Hello, Lyric." Jase spoke, a twisted smile on his face.
She couldn't remember how to move or even speak. She was almost paralyzed with fear.
"Jase is an old friend of mine! I thought he could come with us!" Eden said cheerfully.
She still just stood there, words unable to escape her lips.
"You okay, Lyric?" Catherine asked.
"Huh?.. yeah I.. I'm fine... Come in..."
They walked in, Jase sliding up next to Lyric, trying to wrap his arm around her waist.
She flinched and immediately moved away, breathing heavily.
"Hey Hunt! How ya feeling?" Asher asked.
"Better. Just kinda queasy. It's just a bug anyway. It'll be gone soon."
He nodded.
"Who's this?" Hunter asked.
"This is Jase! He's an old friend!"
Hunter immediately flinched in fear once he heard that name.
"Nice to meet you..."
Jase put out his hand for Hunter to shake it.
"Y-you too... Sorry but I just don't want to get you sick.."
Jase smiled.
"I understand."
He retracted his hand.
Hunter looked over to Lyric.
She was completely pale and she was breathing heavily, like she couldn't even breathe at all.
Was she really that scared? He had never seen her scared, ever. Is this how bad it was when she was?
He tried to communicate with her through her thoughts, but her thoughts had been closed off.
He needed to tell her it was alright. That he was there watching her. That he loved her and that he would protect her.
"You sure you're okay?" Victoria asked.
"Yeah I'm fine-"
"..."
"Did anyone else feel that..?"
"Feel what-"
Suddenly, the ground started violently shaking, rocking the entire apartment.
And Lyric just stood there... frozen.
Immortals chapter 10
No one questioned why Lyric acted that way when finding the diamond in her bag. It was a new day and soon the start of camp activities.
The cabin alarm clock went off, and of course, sliversun pickups played. “OMG!!!! I love this song!!!!” Catherine screamed cheerfully.
“Oh god, Cat, your scream is louder than the clock!” Asher yelled. But she wasn’t listening. She was to busy singing.
“When the wind, behind our eyes swell Starring down all, who generalize well A chemical change of the spirit Will be the exchange for our visit…”
She grabbed Lyric’s hands and pulled her up. “Sing with me!” She said.
“Uh…okay…”
And together, in semi perfect harmony, they sang.
“Putting more makeup on the masks that we wear Turning our nightlights on in the daytime to scare. If we say that-” But at that time, Asher had turned off the alarm clock.
“C'mon, let’s get going.” He said.
“Aw, you’re know fun.” Catherine pouted.
Everyone had gathered in the mess hall to have breakfast. Catherine was still humming nightlights, aggravating a certain someone from the bus. “Oh will you shut up!” The girl shouted. Before Catherine could apologize to her, Asher walked to them at the back of the food line. “Is there a problem?” He asked. “Can you tell your stupid friend to shut up. Her humming is so annoying!” She complained. Asher had taken a step forward, right in front of her. He grabbed a fist full of her food and smushed it all over her face. “Whoops…” I’m back!!! Immortals and the ut! Fanfic might not update as often but they will update. Thanks for reading!!!
