Quick Notes: Chapter 102

Murphy’s Law is just the theme for this year, huh? Nothing can just go kind of wrong. Let’s get into this.

If any of the Original Shining Stars has to see this, the one that has the most reason to hate humans being the one to beg Ziggy to change was certainly a pick.

The more I think about it, whoever thought “I’m going to make a robot called the Demon King and nothing cataclysmic can come out of this” was an idiot. Or evil.

“Come... I will tell you the reason you were born.” I’m sure we’ll learn this eventually and I won’t be ready for it either.

Shiki, ever the optimist, still holding out hope that Ziggy is messing with him. Mashima can be cruel when he wants to.

*insert statement about ships here*

I’d be more conflicted about Shiki telling Pino to delay finding out about her past if I felt like it was anything more than a delay.

Pino wanting to be human is probably especially disgusting to Ziggy. He creates a robot to help him rule over humans and she wants to become a human.

When the Robot-Human war starts, remember that this all happened because Rebecca wanted to be with Shiki again. Are the ships really worth it?

I can’t think of too many instances where Witch didn’t call Shiki “Demon King”.

The Shining Stars all have the right reactions to everything that’s happened over the last chapter and a half. All of them.

I feel like Mashima saw my thoughts on chapter 49 and decided to spin things in the darkest way possible.

I know that the Four Dark Stars are meant to be dark and terrifying, but that’s kind of hard when one of them is literally a clown. Place your bets on who parallels who.

“Shiki, my boy. I leave you the blessing of dying with your friends.” There’s something oddly metal about that line.
