When I saw this at the Goodwill I passed by it twice. I thought that I should get it even if is not and original and just a print. I liked it. It was different and came with a good frame. I purchased it for $4.99. When I took it outside, the sun revealed the very slight cracking in the paint. It is an original titled “Bird 2” painted and signed by Edgar Britton himself (1901-1982). This one is on my wall permanently. Sometimes I wonder how it ended up at the Goodwill.
Tip # 2) Try not to be picky when choosing good art. I usually fall in love with it when I take it home and research it more or figuring out what it means. You win some then lose some. I have an eclectic taste. I assure you several different types of artwork can look great together. There should be some sort of connection between the art pieces. Some people like to keep the same frames or themes. I go for a similar color scheme. It’s as simple as that. Someday I’ll have an art wall but it takes a lot of planning. Is there a thrift store find that was a success for you?
