Normally she liked to leave Edgar at home for mass. She rolled him gently on his back and he snored softly in the crook of her arm. She put the tip of her one of her fingers on each of his tiny paws. Even with her delicate thin limbs and appendages, her finger was bigger then his plump little paw. He was her exquisite little anomaly. She wondered why the world had been blessed with the tiniest of dogs.
“Would you like to go to mass with me?” She asked him softly as he slept on comfortably despite her moving each little paw carefully in an attempt to rouse him. He wouldn’t be awake for another three hours, which wouldn’t be bad. He could sleep through mass peacefully. She left the tiny creation in her bed to slumber in her dusty blue satin sheets. Louisa looked through the selection of her closet. She touched the shoulder of each monochromatic piece with a certain degree of tiredness. Picking out a silvery blue dress, she slipped out of louis’ black shirt to let it fall to the floor.
The dress was simple. She passed her hands over the suede material and she brought her hair over the the closed collar. Turning to herself in the mirror, she noted the slate grey of her eyes. Emotion was still a foreign concept. It felt too human. Was she sad? Her brows crinkled some. Sad was too strong of a word. She turned to see if she could get a peak of the tattoo over her shoulder. Louisa smiled when she could see edgar’s goofy little grin. The ink had already healed thanks to a sweet midnight snack. Turning to face herself again, she could see Albert and alberta. Was the dress too short if she could see them? The saint pushed her mousy hair back with two hands as she leaned over some to feel more at the way it rode up the back of her thighs. The funny breeze made her skin pleasantly respond. That was alright.
The doll adjusted her silver crucifix to sit against the material of the dress. She still felt a little naked. She snuck a peek at her stocking drawer before walking over to it carefully go through her options. Finding a slate grey that matched her eyes, she slipped them on and found them comfortable. Her arms felt naked with the short sleeves of the dress. Edgar sleepily nuzzled the sheets for Louisa and she crawled over the bed to comfort the creature with a little single fingered pet to his side. The pug gave a soft exhale as he was soothed by her and fell back into his deep sleep.
It was funny how he could be bustling with energy or just like this, tuckered and tired. She placed a kiss on the top of his head. Moving away from him, she sat on the edge of the bed before deciding she didn’t have the energy to deal with the day. Stripping out of her clothes, she left them on the floor and took on louis’ shirt again to roll back into bed. Edgar rolled over to snuggle back into the crook of her elbow.
