Our latest supper club is here! This September 16th, we’re teaming up with @forkmonkeyclub to recreate the epic pop-up supper club The Dinner from the novel Kitchens of the Great Midwest by J. Ryan Stradal. Consider it a book club/supper club - and like most book clubs, if you haven’t done the reading, you can still come for the food & wine. Edible History’s resident historian and host will guide diners through a six-course feast, with each dish representing a chapter of protagonist Eva Thorvald’s journey through Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois and South Dakota on her way to becoming the world's most legendary female chef. Guests will dine under the stars on an urban farm tucked away in one of the furthest corners of New York City. Dishes like Pan-Seared Walleye, Golden Bantam Succotash, Grilled Venison and Blackberry Pavlova will showcase the natural bounty of the American autumnal harvest. A welcome cocktail at 6 pm will be followed by Long Island wines to accompany each course. The author will be in attendance to discuss his inspiration for the novel and sign copies of the book. The evening begins at 6pm @edgemerefarm 🍃Tickets are $125 each and available for purchase by following the link in our bio ☝️Tickets purchased before July 31st are 15% off with discount code EARLYGIRL 🙏Roundtrip transportation to and from the farm may be added to your ticket purchase at check out 🛒 #ediblehistory #forkmonkey #edgemerefarm #rockaways #urbanfarm #nyc #grownyc #greenthumb #thedinner #dinner #supperclub #popup #foodhistory #underground #queens #midwest #kitchen #kitchensofthegreatmidwest #bookclub #wine #winepairings #femalechef #chef
