So today I got a lovely compliment from an old woman, she told me she doesn’t really leave the house so much nowadays and when she does come out she hopes something makes her day. Well today I made her day, I made her day by making her a simple half portion of fish and chips😊 she told me she really appreciated how I could do her a smaller portion as not many places don’t always allow it and it was the best meal she’s had in a while😊This wonderful old woman reminded why I became a chef and why I love job❤️👩‍🍳

For the first time in years, I'm working at a place I truly enjoy. I could go on a huge rant about my past jobs, but I won't. Its the past, and as much as I hated some of them, I learned a lot. Its only been 2 months, but I enjoy coming to work every day. I genuinely enjoy the crazy boys I work with, and I like to think I'm doing okay. I didn't start out this journey looking to cook for a living, but I'm glad it's brought me here. From 'Pastry Chef' to 'Sous Chef'.
