Hi, lovedlovedloved the headcanons for edgy/blue/reader and aaaaa!! I just really need to know now; how would a relationship between those two work (i mean, without the reader)?

*All right, so let’s get those EdgyBerry hc’s out there!  I actually did an EdgyBerry roleplay a little over a year ago.

Blueberry is a little off-put by Edge’s gruff responses at first--and his violent impulse.  However, he sees the good in everyone and becomes determined to help Edge get on the right path.

Edge is impressed by Blue’s tenacity and enthusiasm toward the Royal Guard.  On the flip-side, Blue is awe-struck that Edge has obtained the title of Captain.

Edge makes no move to change his personality to suit Blue.  He makes it clear that it’s always been kill or be killed in his world.  Surprisingly, Blue doesn’t back away, and doesn’t cower from Edge’s shouting.  He stands toe-to-toe with him, holding his gaze defiantly.  That gains Edge’s respect, which isn’t an easy feat.

Edge becomes protective of Blueberry, who in turn has decided to protect Edge.

The two of them are all passion.  Blueberry wears his heart on his sleeve, and Edge has tried to bury his beneath acid and bared fangs.  When their energy collides, it’s explosive.

They balance one another.  Edge, who’s all sharp edges and dark overtones, helps ground Blueberry’s boundless optimism and bring him a reality check.  Blue, with his bright smiles and constant encouragement, brings HoPe to Edge--and helps soften him when he’s behind closed doors.

The two of them first bonded over cooking.  Edge considered the glitter to be “THE DUST OF OUR ENEMIES” while Blueberry insisted it was “FRIENDSHIP GLITTER!”  Blue, however, didn’t mind that Edge used vinegar in the meat for his tacos, since he seemed pleased by the use of glitter.

Red and Stretch suffered the consequences of their combined efforts, while Blue and Edge ate the tacos and considered it to be a culinary success.  

Their biggest argument thus far has been who’s better-- Mettaton or Napstaton?

Blue spends a great deal of time sitting on Edge’s lap--or lying his head in Edge’s lap.  He’s a big-time cuddler and loves having physical proximity to Edge.

Edge is always the big spoon or has Blue lying on his chest.

If this relationship takes place in Underfell, Edge will treat Blue like absolute shit in public because he’s terrified of someone realizing how much the other skeleton means to him and dusting him.  He knows Blue’s too soft to actually fight someone to the death; he’ll pull the last punch, and that’s when the other monster will kill him.  Blue adamantly refused to wear a collar like Red.  

If it takes place in Underswap, however, Edge is still kinda jumpy if there’s any physical affection in public and absolutely abhors PDA.  He’s also low-key concerned about Stretch, who doesn’t seem to approve of his brother being with someone so inherently violent.

Age: 14

Parents: Blueberry (Underswap Sans) & Edge (Underfell Papyrus)

Other family: Uncle Red (underfell Sans) Uncle Papy (Underswap Papyrus) Uncle Ink, Splatter

Likes: Baking, mathematics, Splatters art, ginger tea, Uncle Papy

Dislikes: Uncle Red, dogs, fighting, loud voices, sudden movements

Animus came to be after Ink and Error got into a fight, leading Error to do his cliche party trick and kidnap Blue to piss off Ink, who is married to Blue. As Error was bringing Blue back, he got intercepted by Nightmare, getting Blue tossed into the nearest AU; Underfell. He was then rescued by Fell, and as the months passed and Ink still failed to find Blue, Fell and Blueberry became friends. As Fell entered his heat cycle, Blue offered to help him, since Red was away, leading to Blues accidental pregnancy with Animus. Animus was 6 months old when Ink finally found Blue, leaving Animus’ parents with a tough choice. Blue ended up going back to Underswap with Ink to take care of his other son, Splatter, who was 5 by then, and leaving Edge to care for their accidental child in a kill or be killed world, the small skeleton occasionally dropping in to see his friend and child. Animus grew up in Underfell, becoming a very good fighter even though he preferred to flee, and was perfectly fine, apart from Reds cruel pranks, until he was found alone by Greater Dog. The dog attacked him and almost killed him, if Fell hadn’t turned up when he did. Unfortunately, Animus got three long scars alone his face where Greater Dog attacked, leaving him blind in one eye. Animus became very shy, jumpy and paranoid, closing in on himself and refused to talk to anyone other then his dad. Fell decided it best to give up his 13 year old child to Blueberry, who took Animus to live with him, his brother, his husband and his other son. He quickly opened up to Uncle Papy, finding him similar to his dad, but it took him a full year to utter a word to his half-brother Splatter or Ink. He misses his Dad greatly, even though Papa is brilliant, and wears is hood over his face and covers himself with his scarf in an attempt to hide the ugly scar on his face
