ahh thank you for tagging me edie!
NEVER (ever ever ever) procrastinate
just listen to taylor’s song about not getting back together and tell your distractions that. iT HAS BEEN PROVEN (by me lol).
one fine day I was looking for inspiration to do well and stumbled across one of connor franta’s video about school advice and he said that he barely procrastinated and got a lot of things done. i was hella inspired, duh. so I didn’t procrastinate. I was literally an A* student during that period of time. I got straight As for a lot of my classes. I got into the (mess) course I wanted! all because I forced myself to NOT procrastinate.

SLEEP&HYDRATE
you’re not going to stay awake and focused if you stayed up doing notes! go to sleep early, wake up early!
if you’re going to slave through the night, you’ll be told to stand at the back of the class when you doze off the next day during lessons (happened to me in biology yesterday, maybe it’s just because my biology teacher just likes to be a pain in the ass (( her lessons are hella boring … :/)) ).
hydrating also is IMPORTANT!! you need the water in your system. getting up to pee is better than being dehydrated and dead. DRINK PLAIN PURE FRESH CLEAR WATER, not one of those artificially sweetened gassy poison.
sometimes squeezing your own fresh orange juice helps too! (helps with the stress + keeps you alive and going)
PLAY! EXERCISE! MOVE!
life isn’t all about studying. go outside, take a jog. it’ll relieve the copped up stress inside and maybe even help you solve the annoying math questions you couldn’t solve before!
I personally like to play netball and badminton, because running isn’t my thing. i feel like sweating it out is the best thing a student can do for themselves. exercising also helps improve blood circulation, which in turn helps you think better!
spend time with your family
as much as we like to spend time with our best friends (ie. textbooks, pens and pencils), your family is important too! they might even help you relieve your stress just by talking to them! go out for a picnic, or even a simple lunch. talk about your day with them, whine about what’s on your mind. your family should be the group of people you trust the most.
maintain a HEALTHY lifestyle
school may be one of the biggest stress factors out there, but so is your image of yourself. no matter how big or small you are, maintaining a healthy emotional, social and physical lifestyle will help boost your confidence and it doesn’t become an addition to stress anymore!
you could replace your potato chips or crisps with crunch apply slices or have an avocado milkshake instead of a chocolate one! tiny changes in your lifestyle can really have a huge impact on you.
