5 Reasons We Can’t Wait For Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie Sweetie, darling, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie is less than a month away. From the sheer excitement of simply having Patsy Stone and Edina Monsoon back on our screens, to the laundry-list of confirmed celebrity cameos and of course, the fashion, here are our top five reasons i just love the thought of having this duo back!!! 1. The Plot If one thing’s for certain it’s that the movie will be fabulous. So, what to expect?. A (failing) PR agent and a disaffected magazine editor, the film sees Eddie and Patsy find themselves at the centre of a media storm following an “incident” at a fashion party. Cue: Kate Moss emerging from the Thames with a cigarette in one hand and a glass of champagne wearing a sequinned Jean Paul Gaultier Dress. 2. The Cast Aside from Moss, the list of fashion figures confirmed to star in it. From Lily Cole, Jourdan Dunn, Suki Waterhouse and Alexa Chung, to Lara Stone, Stella McCartney, Joan Collins and Jean Paul Gaultier (who also made a cameo in 2001’s Absolutely Fabulous) – the list of people Eddie and Patsy encounter whilst escaping to the French Riviera to avoid the paparazzi goes on, and on. 3. The Drama If Eddie and Patsy’s previous escapades are anything to go by, we can be sure to expect drama, drama, drama. From Eddie’s fight at her self-titled Edina Monsoon PR awards attended by Naomi Campbell, to the moment she fell off a cliff on their infamous ski trip to Val-d’Isére – we’re looking forward to countless alcohol-induced mishaps and more life-lessons from Eddie and her perennial partner in crime. 4. The Fash-un, darling From Eddie’s obsession with Christian Lacroix, to Patsy’s iconic beehive and shades combination (and that snakeskin suit), Ab Fab wouldn’t be Ab Fab without the fashion. Whilst Patsy was sighted in a pair of flame red Balenciaga boots during filming, Eddie was spotted sporting an Anya Hindmarch bag and a tartan Vivienne Westwood suit on set. In the words of Eddie, “Everybody’s there, everybody! Big names, you know. Chanel, Dior, Lagerfeld, Givenchy, Gaultier, darling. Names, names, names.” 5. The Unexpected It’s 2016 and we now speak five new languages: Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and selfie. Eddie and Patsy have a lot to learn. Who knows what may happen after a bottle of Bolly? OMG!!!
