I'm back from edinburgh! My voice is fucked from shouting at The Wrestling last night (it was seriously fucking epic, omg!) and because I have a wee bit of a cold coming on, and my phone died and I have to get up in a couple of hours to leave for the Lowlands festival, but oh my fucking fuck, it was so amazing! Well worth the massive debt I got myself into. Srsly, I'm gonna miss it. I've seen 46 comedy shows in 11 days and met so many lovely people. Omg! And I'm still crying over not seeing Tim Key. The 2 seconds I saw him walk by have broken me.
Had some time to kill, so went to Mark Olver’s Dancin About Architecture. No idea who the guests were, but when I walked to my seat I literally bumped in to David Trent who told me… James Acaster, Milton Jones, Chris Martin and Mark Smith! Super interresting interview about first gigs, failed gigs and what they hate about other comedians. Oh and Tom Rosenthal also sat next to me. :D
Quick recap of today: - Seen Sandi Toksvig, who was awesome. - Bought tickets for Wittank on a whim, laughed my arse off, sang along. Might be in love, slightly. - Tom Rosenthal sat behind me and laughed in my ear. Decided to see him next. - He is hi-fucking-larious. Recommended! Stories about Danny Dyer and his wang! Scary face positioning! Goodgood! - Jon Richardson and Fordey at the bar! Jon might be doing a show! Maaaybe.... - Pub! Donuts! Nutella! Aaaah! - The Room with drunk Scottish people. SPOOOOONS!
Today I didn't only meet Josie and Courtney, I also saw Thom Tuck (who showed us some awesome moves he learnt for The Wrestling on his phone, and was generally super kind and charming) and Adam Buxton (who wasnt super talkative, but nice anyway). Good shows too. Great first day. Yaaay.
Lalalalala, booking for edinbraaah!
3 tickets already in (Ed Byrne, Sarah Millican, The Wrestling), a gabillion more to go! Leeeeet's plan this motherfucker! Yaaaay!
PS: I hope Tim Key, Thom Tuck and any of the pappy's will be doing things. Will more shows be made available, or is this is?
