My personal Eragon dreamcast is Max Irons' Jeremy's(Brom's) son
Well, Max is definitely hot and I like his jaw-line. I think he looks too old to be Eragon in The White Queen, but maybe not so old in Red Riding Hood (btw, that movie is where the picture of him in this pretty edit comes from, right?)? I'll add it to my watch-list, to check him out! ;)

The guy that played edmund in the chronicles of narnia might work?? I can't spell his name but there's 3 movies and he's only in his 20s currently.
Oh, Skandar Keynes! Okay, friends, listen; LISTEN: this guy is probably one of the most fitting (age-wise) Eragon fancasts I've come across so far. I LOVE HIS FACE! He was 18 in the 3rd Narnia movie (which I haven't seen yet, either *coughs*) and could even pass for a little younger, so he's PERFECT! My only concern is that he looks a bit too young compared to my Roran (Chris Hemsworth looking no less than 25-24). Plus, we'd better find him a quite young Arya, otherwise they’ll look a bit weird together (weirder than they already do in the first 2 books, at least :P). THAT WAS A GREAT IDEA, thank you! (Why isn’t this kid in more movies, tho? I assume he decided to study something else. :/)

Have you considered Craig Horner from Legend of the Seeker? (Probably yes, I know. I think he fits the description fairly well AND he uses a sword a lot.)
Actually, yes, I have! My fellow-admin Cami (aka one of the biggest Legend of the Seeker fans ever) really likes him as Eragon, if I remember correctly. And tbh, although he's not my first choice, I think he's not bad after all. He would definitely be most suitable for older!Eragon imo, but in season 1 (short-haired and beardless) he could work as book!Eragon, too! If we are to fancast everyone as a little older than they were in the books, then why not Eragon, too? Plus, there's plenty of LOTS footage we could use. :)
Anyway, thank you all for your suggestions! I can't gurantee there'll be any Eragon stuff up anytime soon (too many rl obligations right now), but I'll talk about it with Cami and we'll see what we can do. :)
