Oh look. I made the JumpStart crew as Pokémon in sprite form. What a life I live. Frankie - Yamper - long dog, that’s about it. sprite credit CJ - Froakie - most frog-like Pokémon. Credit here Edison - the male firefly Pokémon, and the one that actually lights up Eleanor - do we have any other elephant Pokémon? Casey - with his fur patterns, Meowth was the best fit for them Kisha - a koala and baby tiger. What else? Sprite and credit Pierre - Spinda’s more kid-friendly than Pancham, and a polar bear Pokémon Hopsalot - RABBIT! credit

The size difference make these costumes really work in my opinion. What? Boys shouldn’t wear dresses? I BITE MY THUMB AT YOU, HOW DARE-!!

Me: I don’t need to redesign characters that I don’t own. There is no point. No one is in this fandom so I don’t need to post stuff for it, and no one would like it for that reason. Who even knows about the JumpStart crew? Who knows about them that can actually read? Also me: I worked too hard on this to not post it AND I’M PROUD OF IT TOO!

Yeah... Plan on seeing reference sheets for these characters and more JumpStart characters. In those I’ll go into actual detail behind my redesign choices and some other changes I made to... alright, I’ll just say it: my canon now. These are my characters now and I’m fully developing all of them including new designs, personalities, backstories and other such things. The actual company can take these versions of their characters from my cold, dead hands.

So I found my old copy of JumpStart Explorers a week or two ago and decided to play it. It didn’t run the smoothest and was slow at times but still fun to play. It took me reopening the game a few times since my computer couldn’t stand loading some parts but I don’t think it took too much from my experience. I can see why I liked this as a little tiny kid.

That being said, my computer didn’t like Edison’s sarcasm in Antarctica when they got a hint as to where to look for CJ’s nephews. At least I think he was being sarcastic. The audio wasn’t playing right since it was crashing but all I heard was Edison saying “WELL DUH” after CJ got his lines out perfectly.

Now I’m beginning to see why my only memory of the JumpStart series is “Edison is my favorite character”. He was more fun to hear talk than CJ. Shame I can’t go out and get new games with Edison apparently, though I would love to see more of him. He was cut from the series in 2004. Yeah, apparently this game was released in 2001, a little less than two years younger than I am. Also Great Britain had to wait a year for this game?????? What????
