Lt. Kennedy Quinn has made a comfortable life for herself as an aircraft mechanic in the Navy. It was the second-best thing after failing to qualify as a naval aviator. Close enough to the action to feel the rush, but far enough that she won’t get anyone killed. If she has to watch TOPGUN recruits come and go in the process, then so be it.
Then her best friend comes to town for an extended visit, old graduates show up on base, and a familiar face does his best to lure her back to his bed. It's all too much, and Kennedy's quiet existence of flying under the radar is thrown into free fall, and no one's there to catch her. Except maybe Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw.
