Question  Once you get this you must share 5 random facts about yourself, then pass this on to 10 of your favorite followers. (Okay, totally not a MUST, but I'd love to read them.)

Okay, here we go:

1.  When I was in my early 20's I basically lost everything I owned in a terrible fire. I lived in a crappy apartment building and the neighbor's furnace caught fire and burned the place down. I was the youngest tenant and the only with with renter's insurance, so I was able to get back on my feet. Still that was one terrifying experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. I remember standing in the freezing January night watching my life go up in flames.

2. I was bullied terribly in school because I was quiet, liked dragons and Robotech, and liked to draw. I now use these nerd powers to my advantage.

3. I met my husband online.  I love him more than anything and hope I die first because I can't imagine life without him. He puts up with my strange fandom obsessions, my art, and appreciates the Simpsons. Actually our wedding was Simpson-themed. We'll be married 10 years August 14.

4. I am obsessed with boots and coats, especially of the Steampunk variety. One of my most treasured possessions is a beautiful coat my mom got me a long time ago. It's gorgeous. Embroidered.  Seriously I vowed to lose all the weight I gained during my pregnancy so I could fit back into this stunning coat. And I did.

5. I can trace my lineage on my father's side back to the Mayflower. Took me a lot of research but I finally tracked his line back. Way back. I've had relatives serve in the Revolutionary, Civil, WWI, WWII, and finally my dad with the Vietnam war.
