I chose this scene in “STRANGER THINGS” (2013) to highlight how quick, but impactful cuts show action dictated by character.

Quick cuts and rapid-fire action in this scene from "STRANGER THINGS" dictated how I approach both the physical and emotional tone that I want to bring to "MAGNET", as - towards the later half of the film - Hero Boy tries to let go of himself as he's stuck with the Other Boy and Hero Girl.

This clip represents somewhat of the chase scene in my final project. Of course, the chase scene between Ploppy and the Cat will be of a much smaller scale, but it emulates how a character can use their environment to add a dynamic flare. Notice how Levi (character in motion) uses the surrounding buildings, carts, and other platforms to aid in his pursuit. Starting at 0:38-1:15.

In my version, Ploppy will also use his surroundings and ultimately dictate how the chase scene will commence. I also like to envision that the camera will follow Ploppy and/or the Cat quickly, as shown above.
