You're used to it. You curl around the house, sometimes, sure, a ghost that protects it and hides the small treasures you've found- you're an unhealthy incubus, not a dragon.
But then there's a human.
A soft human, scruffy and tired and small and so perfect, moving in with sparse belongings and a big computer and you breathe in the smell of the house when he's gone, drawn into a lanky human shape with not enough hair, but it's worth it because...
Because you feel like home.
It works out until he catches you in his kitchen.
