Hi everyone, just a quick update and voting reminder! We've recieved 16/24 jury votes, which is better than we had hoped for at this stage. We've also received a good amount of televotes that could easily sway the current result. Anyways, to the people who haven't voted, you know who you are. We will also be releasing a betting odds poll for you guys to guess who will take the jury, televote and the entire contest! Poll will be closing on the 29th, just a day before the live results show!

It's Time!

Welcome to Edition Three of Eslariavision! Today, we start our sign up, country assignment and country reveals! We are excited, and I hope you are too!

We know that signups can be a hectic process, but just as a reminder:

- we need 5 countries in order for us to properly assign countries this edition;

- at the end, you will be asked to provide a 6th choice, which will be our (the admins') country, so be strategic

- the winner of last edition was able to preselect their country and they have chosen Louareux, it should not be on the form but just in case, please do not select it

Ielaskaya

Capital: Kalispyera Motto: Nici o persoană rămasă în urmă. (No person left behind.)

We’ve finally reached the last spotlight of this edition, which belongs to the country of Ielaskaya, Much like Zuunbayar, Ielaskaya is a small landlocked nation but instead is located in the southwest of Eteriske, with the capital of Kalispyera nestled in the northwest of the country, next to the border of Nevern.

When it comes to Ielaskaya, a lot of things are old school. The natives here tend to hold on to the past instead of looking towards the future. However, in it’s major cities, you can find that they are starting to strive towards a more modern way of life. Despite this movement, the native in the more rural areas are sticking to their more nomadic ways, travel by horse or donkey, tents for homes and hunting for your daily meals. You may often even find communes around the country, as Ielaskaya hold the most per capita in all of Eslaria. 

With some of the best fertile soil in Eteriske, the locals use this to their advantage by growing some of the highest quality grains, fruits and vegetables. A good chunk of their produce grown is sold all over Eslaria, making it Ielaskaya’s highest grossing sector in their economy. But whatever isn’t sold to the rest of the country is sold in local supermarkets and farmers markets. While you can make just about anything with these ingredients, the Ielaskayans food of choice is Elote, grilled corn on the cob topped with  fresh butter, cheese, chili and lime juice. This favorite is often served during lunch and dinner hours, but can also be enjoyed as a snack at anytime.

Zuunbayar

Captial: Tiam Motto: Fil-paċi ma 'l-inevitabbli. (At peace with the inevitable)

Next up in our spotlights is the one of Eslaria’s smaller countries, Zuunbayar, quaint landlocked nation in the northern half of Eteriske, completely surrounded by Varvara, Gadia, Arpiola, and Pinkta. 

When you take a look at Zuunbayar, you see small and simple, but if you care to take a deeper look inside the country’s history, culture and language, you would manage to find anything but. Although small in size, the country was once a part of three past territories: Arpiola, Gadia and Pinkta. However, natives from all three of these nations decided to form their own nation. One free of war and strife, one that managed to bring together the vastly different customs and traditions of each other and make it something completely different. Something all their own. 

Zuunbayar is quite loaded with geographical beauty, from its rolling hills in the west, to the steep cliffs and marshes in the southeast. You will also find that it’s filled with many architectural wonders inspired by their ancestors. You may even find ancient ruins of the first settlers here to Eslaria, however many of these are protected by the Zuunbayari government to preserve their longevity and origin. But fear not, there are several national parks around the country that hold some of Zuunbayar’s greatest beauties that are free to see.
