Just a fun little hc behind the painting. I like to think, that majority of Edgar’s paintings and pieces are generally morbid to some degree. Looking at the painting, the woman in there is pretty much faceless, aside from the eyes. I think the reason that there’s no face is because Melly never takes off her gauze hat and therefore Edgar has no idea what her face looks like. I think it’s also pretty important to note that the black tear marks in the painting are correlating to Melly’s scar on her cheek.
