Genuinely these redesigns are probably some of the hardest ones Ive done in a good while, i think i spent almost an entire week in total struggling with them. Worth it, though, I think

One dad shown, one more to go

Sypress is Edrian's other father, he's an air spirit that has worked for the kingdom as a sorcerer (got it and wizard mixed up. oops) for almost as long as he can remember. And that's where he met Esdram, when he was assigned to be Sypress' bodyguard one day, and the two became close very, very fast.

He's always been pretty laid back with the comfortable position he's in, maybe even a little over reliant on his magic. And he's seen a lot of potential on Edrian's, so he always tried to nurture this hability, though it's not the kind of magic Edrian is too fond on doing. He'll do it, sure, but it's not one he can stomach focusing for the rest of his life, especially if it means having to serve someone with it. 

Sypress was the one that convinced Esdram to have their son go and study to be a sorcerer, which Edrian runs off from after 2 miserable years in the university. He ran off to explore the world on his own, and find himself, and takes about a year for his parents to realize, and they are FUMING about his choice.

Not too sure on his current day outfit, I think I need to mess with some proportions, but I think it's close to what id like it to be. Something gnc and flowy and with big slits. Might work a bit on the hair too, maybe. Loving his twink to bear transition though <3

[Finally starting to go through my backlog of art from before the big hyperfixating]

Edrian's dads finally got names, and I ended up redesigning them too!

I realize now I probably haven't talked much about Edrian's deal either, though. His story is still pretty early in development, but the general idea is that he ran away from sorcerer university to do what HE wants to do for once in his life, and not what his parents want, find his own joy and fullfillment, and is having to deal with the consequences of pulling a 180 from being a doormat to being a bit of a self centered jackass. He finds a balance. Eventually. 

They used to be in a dnd setting, but I'm changing it to a more original one. Though I haven't decided much on the world yet. 

Esdram is the one who has put more of this pressure on Edrian. He hopes his soon will be sucessful and preserve the status of their family, and he's making sure of that. He wants the best for his kid, but failed to account for what Edrian wants, and mostly focused on what would be the safe and successful route. 

A bit before he had Edrian, he used to work as a bodyguard for some of the kingdom's officials, but his wit and stategies got him the position of diplomat, a job he takes extremely seriously and has kept this job up to the current day in the story. Partially why he wants Edrian to have a good job from the start, so he doesnt have to struggle and climb the methaphorical ladder like he did. 

Design wise, I kept a lot of his body the same, like the hair, build and markings, but I added a tail, changed the feet, gave him a phallo scar and some magic elbow tattoos for joint pain :] 

The thing that really needed some work was the outfits. They were too simple for my liking and didn't seem to fit the idea I had of his character. And boy it was hard. I spent four separate days trying to figure out outfits for both ages, I struggled fnfnfnf but it turned out well :] I tried to keep a similar sillhouette to the old one and the diamond motif the three of them have
