So I decided that Miranda and Edward Teach should really be a couple. (This idea has been in my head ever since Bean brought it up once thanks for that)
First of all, Miranda is a mother figure to James and Teach is Charles’ dad. That’s canon and that alone makes them a great fit. They are also both very cultured and could fill evening after evening with civilised conversations over tea, they’re the voice of reason for Flint and Vane but also don’t take shit from anyone.
Short: They’d be a wonderfully fierce and sassy couple and i need to see it happen.
but most of all I need them to be a thing for my eternal-happiness-nothing-hurts-AU to work because if Thomas becomes governour of Nassau i bet my ass that there would be at least one really stubborn pirate captain who refuses to sign a pardon just because it would hurt the badass-rebel-aesthetics he got going on.
So, in order for Thomas’ plan to succeed, they’d need the one man who can stop Charles Vane from being the most inconvenient a person can possibly be and get him to just sign the damn pardon on their side - a man called Edward Teach.
And if fucking Blackbeard was in favour of the new governour i doubt many of the men would dare stand against that.
Also, and i know i am repeating myself, Miranda deserves to finally get to fuck someone who is not either gay and useless or a virgin pastor.
