Our unwinding ethos
Detective Conan! Kindaichi! A cooler one coz female versionnnn!! I wouldn’t say Rosina Lam is perfect for it but I enjoyed watching her as Dr Poon the folklorist professor and detective. I love the creepiness and eerie vibes of the drama coz it is always so rare to see such genres from HK drama. The one I could remember I’ve watched was The Forgotten Valley which was not bad too.
I love most of the cases. Especially the TV company murder case! I liked that because it was entertaining and funny. The bickering between Dr Poon, Yik Sir and Fu Chi Pok are so cute and funny. One thing is that why are most cases locked room murders? Overusing such styles of cases...
The final case was the most exciting one coz it revealed who was the missing Yik’s family grandchild. The twist and turn really got me a headache. I even had to pause and rewind to catch the details.
Of course I wanted Dr Poon to end up with Pok since they solved so much of the cases together and they seem to be such a great team working alongside each other. And both of them are so cuteeee! Their bickers and when they unknowingly fell for each other. The last part where Pok confessed was so sweeettt!!
All in all, the cases (lemme try to recall: bride’s pool, lotus pond, banyan tree, stone lion, UFO, mermaid, tv station, 7 sisters, tat tak, pirates, Fox goddess and the last was the lover’s rock in which they are embarking on when Pok confessed) are all really very interesting and got me working my brain to fix the missing pieces together. Really like this drama and hope there’d be more similar ones or a sequel!!
Two different worlds. Two different lives. One lived to pursue peanut brittle business for a living and the other one as a police enforcement.
Who remember this drama?? Haha. Edwin so young compared to <Brother’s Keeper> haha!
Currently showing on the Chinese channel (TVB Europe) on the extra channel!!
