Lucky that this time I got the opportunity to see Walakiri Beach under the rising morning sun. Look at these captivating weird looking trees. You have to wake up at 4:30 a.m to watch the sunrise that typically come out around 5:45 a.m. Although it was too early in the morning, it was worth it. Lapopu Waterfall is one of the most beautiful blue-turquoiseque waterfall in Sumba that is easy to reach. No hard hike and it’s only 15 minutes casual walk to this big ponds where the water drop from its highest point about 100m height. This is the tallest waterfall in East Nusa Tenggara. It is located within 20 minutes drive from Prai Ijing Heritage Village. Entrance fee for international visitors however is surprisingly very expensive about IDR225,000 (MYR65) per pax. .
