one thing i'd like to see more in scp articles is depictions of how SLOW the research process can be. I don't mean depictions of how tedious and difficult it can be to get to a goal either. I want people to write about the sitting around and WAITING.
this obviously depends on the field but like... i'm doing synthetic organic chem research, and so much of it is just waiting for something to finish. could you imagine how insanely funny it would be to read a tale about a researcher trying to run reactions with SCP-009 (Red Ice), but instead of this incredible tale of a novel discovery it's 90% describing the researcher staring at the reaction, 5% the actual reaction taking place, and 5% disappointment? that would be HYSTERICAL. HILARIOUS. COMICAL.
