Rolf cosplay???

Today was a spirit day for Halloween at my school and I decided to dress as Rolf 😭

Me right now making my Double D hat except I'm sewing by hand.

My initial idea was to paint the white stripes, but I ended up deciding it would be better to sew them on.

My process of making my Double D cosplay

I already have almost everything (only the basic, i.e. his casual outfit, because I plan to buy the brown cardigan, the yellow tie and the white suit too) for my Double Dee cosplay! I'm very glad because because of my obsession with perfection I tend to be very exigent with my cosplays, especially with colors, and other details... So I want everything to be as similar as possible, and I'm very satisfied with how it's turning out so far :)

Black hat? Check!

Schrödinger's t-shirt that is sometimes/both red and reddish orange? Check! (I plan to buy a more orange t-shirt in the future too as it's the official color and it becomes very clear at the end of the show, so I can switch between them)

Red socks? Check! (they have some black details that I didn't like, but it's not easy to find socks like that and they were the best I could find. Curse those who defined such specific and atypical clothes for Double D)

Blue shoes? Check! (I had great luck finding the exact color of All Star I wanted because I couldn't find it in the adult size and I was already trying to choose an alternative blue color, when I came across an ad of a person selling her almost new used All Star in exactly the color I was looking for. I opened it just for the sake of opening it thinking "What are the chances of them being exactly my size?". Well, they were! And they were much cheaper than if I had bought a new one)

I'm currently sewing by hand the white stripes on the hat (you can see in the pictures the needle with the thread hanging from the hat xD). I'll redo one of them because I think the space between them is a little too big. Sometimes I wish I wasn't such a perfectionist and could be satisfied easily... I already think the lines aren't the way they should be, but this is the best I can do because I think painting it would be worse.

And the purple shorts are on the way! I think this was the hardest part to find because I wanted them to be specifically jeans or twill, and I still don't know if it will be satisfying. I found them a little shorter than I wanted, but I wasn't finding anything better. From the measurements, it also looks like they're a little bigger than my size (it was the smallest size, but I'm a very skinny person), but considering the difficulty in finding shorts that met my very specific criteria, I decided to take the risk because otherwise I would never finish my cosplay.

When they arrive, I will post pictures wearing the full cosplay!

Now I just need to make 6 more hats and break my front tooth! (just kidding xD but I honestly wish I had a gap because I think it's very cute and everyone who has gaps are cute).

I got called so many things other than Rolf while dressing at school yesterday.. 😭

From Coraline to Thing 1 . . Literally no one figured it out . .💀

There were a couple teachers and a couple of kids who recognized the costume but just couldn’t put their finger on it.
