At first, I didn't understand the fuss around the release of #Master and #Eeswaran this Pongal. "Why can't you let fans watch the films in 100% occupancy shows and arrange safe shows for neutral/family audience?," is what I thought. But even that compromise is dangerous.
The Covid-19 pandemic is still not over. We all should maintain Social Distancing until the big majority is vaccinated. Even masks won't protect you in a fully-packed theatre hall for 3 hours. Do you need to risk people's lives to save theatres?
You can't argue: "I want to watch the film. It's my choice." If you get infected, you can transfer the virus to elders. Being young and healthy is no insurance in the case of Covid-19 and you overburden the health system.
