he did kept in touch with buddy morgan, in fact, the boy still hang outs in the basement sometimes and went with them to their sdcc experience. eric is always waiting for the day buddy and fez will start dating.
I think we have talked about this before… I think yes, but the more he talks about it and watches it, he won’t like much TFA because– well, because it’s a re-do of ANH to some point and we know how extreme and pretentious he is with Star Wars. But in general, I think he would like it. He would actually like Rey a lot, I believe.
This is a question that's been bothering me lately. (Not just the question of why season eight even exists) But what kind of teacher do you think Eric would be once he got back from Africa? The first one to pop into my head was 7th grade history, but I'd like to hear your opinion.
Most fans seems to think Eric wouldn’t had been a good teacher or that being a teacher doesn’t suit Eric because it was a last call desicion (true) the writers took to have an explanation on why Eric was leaving Point Place.
Eric never shows any motivation or passions strong enough that may translate into being something prefesionally, so it’s difficult to think of him as something beyond Donna’s husband or a jedi.
Personally, I do like the idea of him being a teacher. There’s nothing wrong with being a teacher. I like your idea of History teacher, it may work just fine for him. I was also thinking of him as an English Teacher and English Instructor for kids who are actually learning to speak english (but this may be like an extra job during some days of the week in the afternoon, or maybe he works at a bilingual school for kids that aren’t 100% american or not american at all, it would be interesting, especially at the time he would be teaching and where).
There’s a fic I had where, due to his experiences in Africa, he and other couple of teachers, a psychologist and a nurse, open a small school for children with different capacities, and he becomes the director at some point. In it, he persues a pyscholoy title and focuses on kid’s studies from ages 3-13, and teaches English.
But I believe every author and fan has its own interpretation, so thank you for messaging me :)!
Headcanon time, Eric Forman in Africa edition (also ignoring season 8):
-- One of his best experiences was having the chance to start teaching a group of kids whose excitement for school and activities make him realize his own privilage. It truly changed him, to know there is in fact a world outside his comfort.
-- He also refered to that small groud as “my kids”, and even years later, he still does.
-- After visiting home during the holidays, he came back to find a group of naturists and nature photographers at his community. The group was very friendly and he quickly became friends with the photographer leader, Noah. They spend a lot of time together and the photographer even took him to one of their excursions and let him be in one session.
-- He couldn’t sleep the first week when he got there. Not only because of the time change, but because he was too used to be comfortable and spoiled at home. Later, he will discover this was the first step to the changes he will later notice he had while there.
-- For the first month, he wrote as much as he could and called as much as he needed to. But soon money started to be an obstacle, and suddenly he found himself too into his classes and activities, he sometimes even forgot he hadn’t call in all week.
-- As much as he missed being at home, during he last week in his community, he started to think and feel how much he was going to miss being there, the friends he made and the kids he worked with.
-- He actually didn’t talk that much with Hyde during that time. He knew more about his friend’s doings thanks to Donna or Kitty. It didn’t bother him, but he recalls the few times they talked on the phone and wrote each other, were one of their favorite experiences with the other side of the world.
-- One, no, two letters that made his month was the one Jackie sent him telling him how angry she was that he left Donna because her friend was so upset. She kept calling him names in capital letters and descriving how much she was so going to kill him once he was home, it actually made him laugh.
For both, the nervouness and the amusing. Especially when like, two days later, a second letter came. It was from Hyde. It said Jackie was sorry and promised to be good once he came back, and that she wouldn’t kill him just after their wedding. It was the way Hyde told him he had proposed.
-- His letters with Donna were always his favorites. They wrote each other a lot, and he knows his are ridiculous because he was trying hard to be romantic. Eventually, they started to be romantic on their own, once he started to say the truth and tell her what he was really feeling.
-- Red send him two caps/hats every month. None has ever talked about it, but Eric knows it was because he had told his mother that he wished he would had brought more hats and caps. He had a small case of insolation and terrible sun burns.
His father’s way to somehow look after him at the distance was sending him the clothes, so he won’t pass for something like that again.
- The experience make him realize many things. He saw more than he thought he would ever seen. He even got to know what real hunger and sickness is, and fear (... there are too many werid-for-him bugs, okay?). When he came back home, he was not only grateful for the life he got and the childhood he lived, but that he had the chance to do that travel.
It was more subtle change, but everyone noticed, how he had grow so much and was still the same nerd.
- He’s still in touch with Noah, and they visit each other in their respective states.

Following the birth of Emma and Killian’s baby, Charming and Killian having a competition as to who can get the baby to say it's first word, only for the baby to say the first word for Emma (It’s first word is ‘Hope.’ Snow is incredibly pleased)
Killian wanting to take the baby on a ship as soon as Emma will allow him ("Gotta teach our child to sail, swan.”)
Killian teaching the kid to navigate via stars
Killian reminding everyone that he is about 250 years older than them, and therefore wiser
Charming and Emma making jokes about how old Killian is
Killian saying to charming "when I was your age", purely with the intent of annoying him
Killian complaining every time that they run out of rum
Killian begging the castle cook to figure out how to make grilled cheeses here, so that when Emma's mad at him, he can bribe her
Killian going on special runs to appease a very pregnant Emma
Killian referring to Emma as Mrs Jones after they get married
Emma actually naming the baby David so they can call him Davey Jones (they call his room his ‘locker’ - Charming stubbornly calls the baby ‘David’, while Killian intentionally overuses the name to annoy David)
David, being unable to understand the ‘davey’ thing, thinks they named their son after him, but Henry, Emma and Killian know better (and laugh behind David’s back at every mention of the name)
