I say this with no irony or sarcasm, but effeminate men get so much shit for existing as themselves. Like for some reason, a man wearing a skirt or dress is somehow a prevailing joke within western society, as well as an invitation to emasculate the wearer? You're less respected and dehumanized as some kind of thing to gawk at, rather than an actual person.
I'm aware there's a pervasive bias against femininity itself as shown in misogny against women, yet there are people of all genders that still have this strange double standard when it comes to dudes expressing their femininity. This pressure to avoid being emasculated is even more prevalent within the trans community, especially FTM, to the point that fellow trans people are contributing to the same vicious cycle by trying to differentiate themselves as the "normal ones" because their ideal self aligns with a binary cishetero narrative.
It's exhausting. I just wanted to wear the Snow White dress, man...
