             ❛  I’M AWAKE ,  I AM ...  i’m  just  resting  my  eyes ,  ❜  the  medic  promptly  started  to  ramble  as  she  heard  a  familiar  voice ,  one  that  interrupted  a  nap  she  hadn’t  really  meant  to  take .  imagine ,  getting  kicked  out  of  infimary  duty  for  sleeping  during  her  shift !  then  again ,  sibel  would  like  to  think  that  her  exhaustion  would’ve  been  excused .  it  seemed  everyone  was  going  through  a  little  bit  of  something  lately ;  it  was  only  fair  that  it’d  catch  up  to  the  healers .  rubbing  her  eyes  with  the  palm  of  her  hands ,  she  blinked  a  few  times ,  adjusting  to  the  light  before  a  smile  graced  her  lips .  ❛  angel ,  hi ! you’re  here ...  wait ,  ❜   head  tilts  to  the  side ,  ❛  you’re  here .  did--  did  something  happen ,  are  you  hurt ?! ❜  she  promptly  stood  from  her  seat ,  finding  that  the  aftermath  from  the  chaos  left  her  somewhat  neglectful  of  angel .  crap .   ❛  did  i  forget  something ?  ❜

“how did the damage look to you?” tay asks with a worried crease forming between her brows, having missed the bulk of the capture the flag event, hidden away in the medical tent. “am i going to be terribly busy?”

           ❝  AAH ,  YOU’RE HERE !  ❞  the  girl  rushed  quickly  to  the  door ,  excitement  covering  her  delicate  features  as  she  went  to  greet  him .  she  couldn’t  quite  remember  what  it  was  that  she  said  in  her  text  to  angel ,  but  it  was  probably  something  about  her  newest  purchase  being  delivered  and  how  excited  sibel  was  about  it .  ❝  i’m  so  happy ,  i  can’t  wait  to  show  it  to  you !  ❞  grabbing  a  hold  of  his  hand  with  both  of  her  own ,  she  dragged  the  boy  inside .  such  joy  almost  made  her  forget  the  guilt  in  her  heart .  ❝  but  first ,  how  was  your  day ?  did  you  film  a  new  tiktok ?  ❞

             ❝  HEY DUDE ,  i  uh ...  i  gotta  tell  you  something .  ‘s  kind  of  important .  ❞  his  voice  is  the  complete  opposite  of  jesse’s  usually  upbeat  tone ,  something  akin  to  shame  coating  his  words .  even  more  uncommon  is  the  fact  that  neither  dara  nor  zoro  are  with  him ,  as  the  man  wanted  to  be  able  to  have  a  one  on  one  conversation  with  his  ‘ brother ’ ,  without  the  dogs  around .  he  keeps  his  gaze  lowered  at  first ,  hands  in  the  pockets  of  his  jeans  as  jesse  approaches  his  best  friend .  ❝  i  had  sushi  for  lunch ,  ❞  he  confesses ,  lifting  his  eyes  to  offer  an  apologetic  look .  ❝  i  don’t  wanna  offend  you  or  your  dad  or  anything ,  bro ,  but  i  did .  it  wasn’t  just  fish  either !  there  was  ramen ,  too ,  but  it  doesn’t  excuse  the  error  of  my  ways ...  i  think .  ❞
