A small grunt escapedfrom the blonde cyborg’s lips as he carefully eyed the group of malesstaring at the person next to him. They have been staring ever sincethe two of you sat outside the cafe, and it didn’t feel right to him.Not only did they cause him to be on his guard but the way theycompletely ignored him struck him as rather strange.
“Genos?” The suddenvoice of his partner got his attention and he focused his eyes onyou, a small smile tugging on his face as his eyes instantlysoftened.
“Yes?”
“You’ve been reallyquiet for a while, is everything okay?”
Nodding his head hereached out his hand towards yours, lacing your fingers with his.“It’s nothing you have to worry about.” He replied, deciding toignore the men. For now.

Genos took a noticethat as soon as the two of you got up to leave, the men also movedfrom their position, walking after the two of you through variousalleys and streets. For a while he thought that they will startsomething, perhaps surround you and start a fight with him. If so, hewas ready to protect you no matter what it took.
However, they did notdare to take a step into the Z-City.
Sighing the tall teenrelaxed slightly, his arm around you not as stiff as it was mereseconds ago. “(Y/n),” The malespoke up, turning his head to look at you. “There was a group ofmen observing you today. I do not know why but something tells metheir intentions were not anywhere near friendly.” He continuedwhen you nodded your head, your eyes wide in shock. “I would likeyou to stay with Sensei and I for the night; I will not let you gohome and spend the night alone.”
Seeing your eyes wideneven more made him tilt his head to one side; did he just saysomething he shouldn’t? Did he offend you? From the way your lipsmoved to form a sentence he figured out you’re not sure how to replyto him.
The arm around you letgo and the cyborg took a step away from you in order to bow in anapologising manner. “I apologise for offending you like this but Iwill give you no other choice even if you will hate me for this; Iwon’t let the one I love get hurt.”
As soon as hestraightened up he noticed how red your face was and he panicked,placing his hand on your forehead even though he couldn’t feelwhether or not it was warm. Realising his mistake he looked away inembarrassment, apologising quietly.
“It’s fine, Genos,don’t worry about it.” You spoke, laughing slightly at his abilityto embarrass both of you within seconds. “I’ll spend the night ifSaitama will be fine with it.”
Hearing this his eyesinstantly lit up and he nodded. “I’m sure Sensei won’t mind.”
