OF COURSE YOU WOULD DO THIS, 2020. I currently have 3 stitches in the plantar surface of my left foot. They don’t come out for at least 2 weeks, maybe 3. Why do I have these stitches? Because I had a punch biopsy done to check for possible melanoma in a slowly-growing macule with irregular borders. Results back in approximately 2 weeks (even though I know a pathologist is going to see the slides in the next couple of days). So, now I can’t run for 2-3 weeks until the stitches come out 😑😑😑😑😑 SO ANNOYED. I have finally got to a point where I’m consistent with my running AND making progress toward where I was when my hamstring injury happened, and now, this garbage fire of a year strikes again. To be clear, there is only a very small chance that this macule is malignant. I am not worried about the cancer aspect. I am SUPER FREAKING IRRITATED that I can’t run. Because OF COURSE this would happen in such a way as to prevent me from running. And OF COURSE it would happen to me, despite the fact that I am RIDICULOUS about sun protection. I put on sunscreen to run for 20 minutes on a cloudy day. I wear foundation with sunscreen. I put sunscreen on my hands and my ears. I have multiple forms of face sunscreen. I WEAR A SUNHAT AND CARRY A PARASOL to walk my dog for 10 minutes. And yet, here we are. I guess I’ll be riding the bike at the gym for the next couple of weeks, since I can put weight on my foot...but not run 😑. #effyou2020 #wearsunscreen #isitmelanoma #timewilltell https://www.instagram.com/p/CFuiUSdBtYa/?igshid=iexbujego222
