so being a new fan of Suiyoubi no Campanella what are like stuff i need to know about her as an artist? I honestly have no clue about her just that I really like most of the songs I've listened to and really wanna obsess over her even more!
oh man WHERE DO I START… well I’m gonna assume you’re completely new!
Suiyoubi no Campanella, or “Wednesday Campanella” in English, is actually a trio! it consists of KOM_I (the female vocalist, my love, and the only member who makes any public appearances), Kenmochi Hidefumi (the one who writes/composes/arranges all the music) and their director Dir.F (I honestly don’t know what he does exactly)
all their songs are named after people, usually historical figures but sometimes fictional characters as well. most of the time the song is only loosely related in theme to the person/etc. it’s named after, with lots of wordplay, word association and re-imagined plots thrown in!
they are best known in Japan for their songs “Momotarou”, “Saksaynu” and “Ra”
KOM_I’s live performances are g o d l y, she’s just SO charismatic!
they had their big break after KOM_I confused people with her… performance… art… on Music Station. sadly she got a lot of criticism from close-minded people when honestly, she’s the best thing that’s happened on MSta in god knows how many years
