He stood there stunned to his core. Feet frozen to the floor. Ears ringing. He was going to be a father. "Are you sure" he asked still not sure he could trust the think in his hands. Her smile dimmed beneath his stare aren't you happy?"
"Of course I am" he said automatically like that was the answer he knew she wanted but didn't agree with. "It's just so sudden. Are we ready? We're both still struggling to fit in here."
Reaching for his hand she placed it over her stomach. "This is a good thing. This is something uniquely ours. Something that binds up to this dimension. This time line."
"You're right" his lips quirked up "this baby. Our baby won't have to wonder who he is."
"Does that mean you're happy" she asked seeking reassurance.
Slipping his arms around her nodding "I'm ecstatic."
Leaning into him she breathed deeply "that's all I needed to hear."
