Literally no one asked but here I go explaining his motifs:
I couldn't decide if he was the violin or just an embodiment of the themes so I made his waistcoat to look like a violin (it is driving me a little nuts how the "strings" of his undershirt have more than 4 "strings" but trust me it looks better this way. as a musician i must point this out okay 😂)
His necktie is the rope that hung the gardener in the original show. I've seen concept art of Danse Macabre a couple days ago that showed he was supposed to be in the new attraction, but alas! That's concept art for you. I appreciate how many references they wanted to put into the new ride. Applause 👏
A skull mask, for obvious reasons maybe. All about death, death, death.... But he isn't an evil entity. He's quite playful and social, actually.
Motifs of the gothic arches from the set of the original on his boots, and the trinity on his chest. These are elements I really wanted to include, since the architecture feels so iconic from Spookslot
Skeleton hands... ?! I struggled to draw it bone-like.... but its more like a claw, isn't it? Maybe I can perfect it later, but I really drew this in a hurry! ;;

I wanted to keep the design relatively simple, so I guess I did that! What else.... well, he likes to play violin (yes, he wants to play the main part for the Danse Macabre melody). He plays along with the music, but he wants to be absolutely perfect at it. He's already quite good.
Okay I'm done yapping now. I sincerely hope everyone who gets to go on the new ride has a wonderful time!! Ride it for me, ok? It may be some years before I get to go :')
I’ve been on tumblr for quite some time but I started this blog specifically to show off my art. I’m not great yet and really just want to post it to get feedback and hopefully see myself improve. Feedback is always welcome, whether positive or negative. I love my ocs and will always talk about them and never ever ever shut up about them.
I have so many ocs, regular ones but also some related to theme parks such as Alton Towers , Efteling and Walibi Holland!
Finally drew one of my Efteling inspired characters
Not my best work but here's Will, member of E.F.T., inspired by Flying Dutchman at Efteling.
His powers include control of fog and storms, based on the second and third show scene of the rides dark section. (even though he's named after the historical figure featured in the rides story, he's not meant to be the same guy. Not like with Hector (Hex) actually being a member of the Talbot family. Will/William is just a common name in pirate/sailor media that I thought fit him.
