Yes, I do art sometimes and I'm really glad if you like that enough to follow me, but I don't make art or even draw nearly as often as I maybe could if I didn't have a million other hobbies.
I mostly ramble on this blog with some art thrown in the mix and everything at maybe one post a month.

I know that everyone loved Anthony Head as Giles from Buffy, but shoutout to his performance as Father/Repoman in REPO The Genetic Opera.
Nothing about the movie should have been as good as it is, and that's largely down to the incredibly unlikely cast they somehow managed to put together and the way Anthony performed the difference between his character's day job and night job is just stunning.

I'm having the usual ESC aftermath again of having my favorite song completely stuck in my head (and subbing it for karaoke)
Obviously it's Eins, Zwei, Drei by LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER.
And this time it's even appropriate that I'm harassing everyone with playing the song at full volume out of my car. I drive a Mini, very British and there's also one in the music video!
And today at work I'm craving pepperoni pizza for lunch. Guess what? That's number 3 at the place my work orders at.
Yeah... So just the usual post ESC brainrot when I actually like one of the songs.
Only providing some proof of my craziness.
No animatronic face on the pizza unfortunately...

I successfully adopted the Monster High Xeno into my Xenomorph hive
I hope she will get along with the other, more traditional ones I have
But I already have photo ideas planned... She'll look glorious on my 1/6th scale harkonnen chair
I was just scrolling down my Tumblr history trying to procrastinate and realized I never made a follow up on this because this turned into a bit of a story....
So as you can see, I was originally able to snatch up the Xenomorph Monster High doll and was super excited about that.
The doll was shipped out but I never got a notification from the carrier, which I normally do with that one. I looked into my order, found the tracking information and checked it manually. The address on that shipment was a garbled mess that only had parts of my actual address in it.
I checked my order information.
My adress was there, correct and complete.
I checked my account information, also the full correct address.
So I wrote customer support that they must have made a mistake transmitted my adress to the carrier and that the package was not gonna be delivered like this.
I got an automated response feigning understanding but ultimately being super empty and borderline patronizing.
Tracking info update to "adress unknown couldn't be delivered, return to sender"
I sent another email asking Mattel about it. They told me they couldn't send me another Xenomorph since she's sold out but they also can't send me the one that's being returned again because it's not actually getting returned to them but just some warehouse. All of that in a tone of a parent explain to a 9 year old girl that they don't have money for christmas presents this year.
And then I got a refund. But not a full refund, mind you. They only refunded me the price of the actual doll. Not the shipping. Not the fee I had to pay to even be able to pre-order her. They just kept 20% of the money and never gave a real apology beyond the pre written template.

I am not buying into the negativity around Look Mum No Computer and Eins, Zwei, Drei. It is exactly what a Eurovision song should be.
If you don't appreciate it yet you all just need to blast it and jump around singing it and you'll see it in a whole new perspective.
I actually started crying when UK got zero again. It started out funny, but now it just feels cruel, especially after everything Sam went through in the press.
Idk. It just felt like watching the quirky kid get bullied for being the quirky kid.
