a little note regarding wildcards.

We’re now within the second week. We’d like to point out these all aren’t happening on the same day, though we’re sure some certainly are. We want to give you folks as much leeway as we can, whether it’s day or night (if not specified), or the days apart, it’s all up to you guys to throw it into a structure how you’d like. Additionally if there’s ever a wildcard your character would like to claim responsibility for, send us a message and if it’s plausible within the game (annnnd our behind the scenes workings) that can very much be arranged.

real talk, we’ve got a plethora of wildcards stored away.

Some are much larger, some are dependent on people’s reactions, relationships, and choices, some are just waiting for the right time within the plot, which isn’t now. Therefore, we just want to extend the invite for people to submit their own wildcard suggestions, or ideas here or here! It’s not mandatory by any means, and you can’t send something specifically for yourself, though you can suggest who you think it would be fantastic for based upon things happening in the roleplay; but there’s no promises that the cards’ll fall that way. Regardless, we wanted to give people the option to potentially be apart of the fun.

If you haven’t posted your update, please do so as soon as you can! The admins need this to lowkey know what we’re working with, and so we can properly utilize the wild card to the best of our abilities.

IF YOUR CHARACTER WENT INTO TOWN ON SATURDAY, AKA THE LAST PLANNED TRIP TO TOWN FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE... We need to know what exactly they’re bringing back with them. You don’t need to get specific with food items, (food and snacks) will do, but if they went into town, we need to know a few mandatory things, you know, for science. Even if they didn’t go into town, we still have shit we need to know.

You can list this, bullet point it, throw it into a paragraph if you’d like to explain certain things, we really just need to know a gist of everyone’s inventory. 

WHAT DID YOUR CHARACTER DO WHEN THEY GOT BACK TO CIVILIZATION: 

Did they do anything but shop to get their own supplies? We also know threads are still in progress and being created for everyone being in town, and that’s totally cool, we just need a general summary of who did what, especially if there haven’t been threads to summarize or back it up. 

WHAT’S BEEN THE BIGGEST ADJUSTMENT OF CAMP LIFE? 

Are they struggling with anything or are they peachy keen? 

HOW ARE THEY HOLDING UP?

What’s their mentality like right now? Are they dreading being here? Are they still going strong and riding that excited wave of the reality they’re making? The fact that they’re totally on route to securing the music festival of their dreams potentially? Have they butted heads with anyone? Are old friendships strong as ever?  Just give us the low down of what’s going on.

ANY HOT GOSS?

Has your character been observing or creating waves, or spreading anything around? What have they seen, if anything? Got anything to stirr the pot, or any tensions running high? Even if it’s purely their speculations, let us know what’s going on in the eye of the beholder.

Unless specified, we ask only one person claims open wild card interactions if they’re posted as a starter, or an open invite for members to react. The Wild Card will post varying degrees and invites, typically more so as more engagement advances. Typically we start out small and up the ante as things progress. 

The Wild Card has the ability to jump into your threads, to reap psychological and physical warfare, and operate on it’s own basis. 

Posts from The Wild Card may be as simple as one involvement, to 15+ in the event a thread spirals from it. Sometimes, it jumps in for something sudden, other times it’s a consistent presence that persist. 

You are fully allowed to react however you see fit. The Wild Card is catered to your reactions and will do what it’s intended to do. God modding of the Wild Card is not allowed, however.

TO CLAIM A WILD CARD: like the post, and reply as soon as possible. If you don’t reply within 24 hours, another member can snatch it from you and take it as their own. Because we have members in multiple time zones, once the ball gets rolling there will be a plethora of interactions thrown and shuffled into the queue in order to give everyone a fighting chance, no pun intended. We do ask that characters do not hog wild cards if they’ve already had a few. 

The Wild Card also has the ability to come at you and given choices made in the verse, it absolutely will.

Sometimes the Wild Card will offer visual aids, and while these may contain frightening images from iconic horror movies, shows, or lore; they will never be gory with the exception of containing weapons or blood, but actual gore will not be depicted.
