Good news: booted up Edona's Glade again excited to play some.
Bad news:
Unedited screeny but look! It's Edona's Glade! ON LINUX!
Edona's Glade related wider world map! Inspired by this month's theme of Worldbuilding for the Historical Sims Community!
Explanation as follows:
Ayeron is the kingdom Edona's Glade is a part of and that will be ruled by Gregory Coterel one day.
The lil purple blob is where i feel like Edona's Glade is located, the pink, dark blue, teal and orange-y splotches are my planned other subhoods, with the pink one being the capital of Adanard.
Edreau is the kingdom Adrianne came from, while Thaidor is Gwenya's homeland.
Most of these places aren't really fleshed out yet, but I wanted to give them names and vibes and vague locations so that's what we have for now. Please, ask me questions so I have to make decisions on stuff :D
I don’t have the energy to edit the Edona’s Glade screens i’ve been hoarding, but have this cutie grace your dash.
She’s one of the many new residents of Ravenholt Village. Only... 5 1/2 households left before i get to play with her!
Could I be actually playing my game right now to refill the queue? Yes
Am I doing that? No. Because instead I am adding more spreadsheets to my playing rules. Because I decided "hey actually, my sims should have to buy materials to fix their homes and replace things like broken dishes and such". So now I need lists
Hi! I love your medieval gameplay with the idea of gathering ores and wood for new buildings. Have you ever shared the rules for it, like how many trees do they need? I also wanted to ask a WCIF. Where can I get the skin with yellow/red birthmarks you use? I have seen birthmark overlay boxes before but that's probably something else? Thank you in advance for your reply!
Heyo! I have talked about my resource gathering ideas before in this post and the basic ideas of it are still the same, I have just been fiddling with numbers and replacing "units of iron" with actual smithed nails and findings and such so my current list for new buildings looks like this:
The Peasant Hovel being my saved in the lot bin og version of the Peach Peasant Hovel, which is just 2 rooms and an outhouse with a straw roof, while the Yeoman Farm House is something i am still workshopping as Gallagher is actively building his. For example I am still unsure what to use for roofing material there, straw or firewood (as a stand in for wooden shingles) or even figuring out some sort of clay/stone tile situation, but since Edona's Glade is still woefully lacking in basic materials along those lines and he's going to be struggling enough with his stone bricks as it is, that is probably a future Lille problem to figure out.
I am unsure if I mentioned the current "building project" in the neighborhood this round, which is fixing up the mountain passes as a way for me to unlock some new CAS sims/work towards my first subhood for myself, but in case you want to know about that:
25k simoleons from the crown coffers
25 Logs
25 Stone (Just the quarried stuff, not bricks)
10 workdays worked in construction
As for the birthmark skins, those are indeed skins, not the overlay boxes, and can be found right here. I am using the towniefied colourful ones!
Do you think we could get an update on the Newson family tree? 👀
Ooooh yes! Well, if you are okay with a written one with tag links, because I do not have the brainpower to go and like, make a pretty.
