Magomarch day 7! Egg Engines

I actually didn't have any solid idea of what I wanted for this day going into it. I literally have the rest of the days planned out, practically to a tee, except for this one. I'm pretty happy with the final product, though.

This takes place before Magolor acquired the Lor, and is making the treacherous journey to get there. Bro has to try to not get clobbered by the robots™

i think the scariest level in the kirby series to me is probably egg engines. the entire place is so off and unsettling and i feel like i shouldn’t be here, bot because i’m in a restricted area, but because no living being should be here for their own safety. i feel like i’m inside a machine with lots of moving parts and i’m afraid i’ll get crushed to death or choke to death on exhaust or drown in the pipes or get eaten by barbars. not to mention the fact that not a lot of egg engines is not particularly well lit and all this shit can happen in darkness. add in the fact that it’s probably extremely hot in there due to all the machinery and that the whole place probably REEKS of gasoline and diesel fuel and exhaust. i feel so unsafe and just want to get out. this place wasn’t made to have people in it.

Surprise! It’s not Touhou this time! It’s the music from the level where that infamous series of Water Kirby-related mess-ups happened in the Runaway Guys’ LP of Kirby’s Return to Dreamland. I think I really grew to like this song not completely from the Runaway Guys, but after hearing it in a level in Kirby Triple Deluxe. Every time I listen to either the original or my arrangement, I can’t help but laugh when I remember how many times Emile messed up, how angry Jon got, and how Tim just went along for the ride.

Kirby belongs to Nintendo and HAL.

The original song was composed by Hirokazu Ando and Ishikawa Jun.
