Odd question, but what do you think Snively’s robot aesthetic would be as an independent overlord?
Believe it or not, I've thought about this. In my endless and ultimately futile/insane quest to bridge the various continuities, I sometimes toy with 'loaning' the events of Sonic 06 to Snively, and that includes the machines used by Eggman in that game. And honestly? I think THAT would be a pretty good idea of what his technology aesthetic would be-
Smooth, streamlined and very 'clean' looking compared to what his Uncle tends to use, be he Eggman or Robotnik. While Robotnik's aesthetic is 'Anti-Love, Anti-Life' and Eggman's is 'Whimsical Warfare', Snively's I feel would reflect his need for function and general lack of frills, while not being utilitarian or charmless.
In a bit of irony, the comparatively realistic aesthetic represented here would actually be indicative of how he's LESS skilled than his uncle- while his uncle's machines can veer into the realm of the fantastic due to his sheer genius and skill, Snively's are more mundane by comparison and more grounded by real-world limitations.
HOW?
And now, a tribute to the various Mass Produced Mecha Mooks of Sonic, the various robotic enforcers in service to Eggmen and Robotniks across continuities!
Okay yeah, I know, Combots were elites, but I like them, so there!
