I don't use pinterest anymore as the platform is physically impossible to do anything on, including just adding existing pins uploaded by other users to boards. I still get flooded with emails from them over "violations" of community guidelines, but when pressing staff as to why these reports include me if they supposedly have a human flagging each post and only use automation to enforce policy... when I have nothing to do with the uploading of the content, creation of it, etc.; they can't figure out why this keeps happening. I signed up in 2015, and since 2024, I have stopped adding pins to my boards so I can just make my own local image boards with sources and save them to an external drive (I love Obsidian as a program, and markdown is really easy to use, so it's a great way for me to organize ideas). The majority of my boards are private, and therefore no users can see the contents, so other than entirely deleting my account on there, I don't know how else to deal with this.
Oh and all of the violations are on grayscale 3D models that show body topology for stylized characters or famous statues/artworks that show 3D form (mainly of gods and goddesses within the form-fitting peplos.) I have these pinned because it's easier for me to understand form and how fabric drapes over a 3D surface but apparently that's far too obscene for the public eye. I'm tired.
