Well… I imagine they’re less enemies to lovers and more enemies AND lovers lol Shadow hates him but they lowkey kiss sometimes. Not dating and not committed either, just someone to spend time with whenever someone reaches out. Eggman is more interested in Shadow than the other way around, Shadow hates the idea of any further feelings. They know more about what they aren’t than what they are. Like a game of cat and mouse, Eggman chases after Shadow too hard and he pulls away, but he never stays away for long. Eggman’s antics always grab his attention, and his constant plotting and actions make it so he can never push him out of his mind. Shadow is always the one coming over, never the other way around. Always gone before morning or when Eggman has his back turned, he’ll leave whenever he feels like it. Neither are really considerate of the others feelings, but it hurts Eggman far more than it does Shadow. Shadow couldn’t care less lol
