Eggnog Bread Delight This festive twist on classic French toast brings the rich, creamy flavors of eggnog to your breakfast table, perfect for holiday mornings or any special occasion. Ingredients 2 - 3 eggs 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp sugar (I use Splenda) 1 tsp rum or brandy extract 1 tsp orange zest 1 1/2 - 2 c eggnog butter and/or oil, for cooking thick slices of French or Italian bread, English Muffin bread is good too. Directions 1. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs. Add the cinnamon, sugar, rum or brandy extract, and orange zest, then stir to combine. Pour in the eggnog and mix until well blended. 2. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a bit of butter and/or oil to coat the surface. 3. Dip the slices of bread into the eggnog mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. 4. Place the coated bread slices onto the hot griddle and cook until they are golden brown on one side. 5. Flip the slices to cook the other side until golden brown. 6. Serve warm with butter, syrup, powdered sugar, or your favorite toppings.
