#26: Egilsstaðir, Iceland - Austri Slöttur Extra Special Bitter @ Egilsstaðir city limits . The drive around the fjords from Höfn to Egilsstaðir is absolutely spectacular, and a little tricky in parts. Once we arrived, some dudes at the pub attached to our hotel recommended the Austri beers to us, saying it was brewed just 500m away. We were stuck there for the night as it snowed, so we sampled each one they had. Always great to drink a beer in the town where it’s made, especially when it’s such a good beer.

I remember that night very well. It was a Friday night, our fourth night in Iceland🇮🇸 Everyone was so excited to notice the appearance of the northern light 🌌 for the first time for us there. It started from the horizon rising up to cover the whole sky. It was so amazing that I got super excited 😆 just like when I first met her in Tromsø last year. Everyone ran out in the field trying to catch the best photos. This is also the very first photo of me from that night. .
