It's only through Google that the remaining humans were able to survive. Through various wise investments and revenue streams, Google has been the one to keep the lights on, the fridge stocked, and the Egos together.

Dark was Google's closest friend, though they often butted heads. He saw Dark as little more than a self-important asshole but at least he respected the man for his convictions. Google suffers no such issues with Celine, avoiding interaction with her whenever possible.

While Google tried not to dissuade the kid's as they've grown, he's maintained strict boundaries. He's not their parent, he's not there to serve them. They all learned from a young age that you invoke Google's wrath at your peril.

Google has grown rather protective of Anti, Jim, and the doctor.
