I don’t believe we’ve met.”
Rose turned her attention away from Miguel. “We haven’t.”
The woman in the magenta jump suit smoothly stepped forward with her hand outstretched.
“Dana D’Angelo.”
“Rose Stacy.”
The two women shook hands.
“You know… there’s something vaguely familiar about you.”
Rose tilted her head. “Yeah, I have the same feeling…”
“I highly doubt it was the country club though.” Dana lightly laughed.
Rose felt herself bristle. “It could have been. Who knows?”
Peter winced on his side. “Red, don’t start something.”
”Then again,” Rose sweetly smiled. “I doubt we have the same social circles, Dana.”
“Indeed.” Dana eyed the proximity of Rose and Miguel and stiffly smiled at Rose. “Well, it’s nice to meet a friend of Miggy’s.”
“Oh honey no.” Rose smiled just as icily. “Girlfriend.”
