Boredom. That's what China felt. It was raining and he couldn't find anything to do. Nothing was entertaining to him at the moment.
The only thing that was keeping him from ranting about it was Egypt suggesting stuff even though she seemed just as bored.
Then she suggested something that he hadn't thought about before, "We could make some food for each other?"
China sat up, "You want me to cook for you?"
Egypt shrugged, "And I want to cook for you. Besides, I don't think you've had my food in years, my love.”
China was excited, now he could show the world (well Egypt) how great his cuisine was (he already knew it was great)!
Egypt got up and stretched before making a beeline to the kitchen before turning back around, “We should probably get some ingredients first.”
China offered, “We can meet back here.”
Egypt got ready to leave, “Yes. We’ll met each other back here soon.”
And with that she left.
China smiled to himself. This was going to be fun.

After several hours, they had managed to make good food.
Now they were going to taste each other’s food.
China slid the plate over to her, "Try it! I made some extra for later too!”
The food on the plate in question was potstickers, fried rice and spring rolls with some soy sauce on the side and hot tea to drink. Simple, but delicious.
China watched intently as she picked up her chopsticks and ate her food. It was a tad bit agonizing considering that Egypt rarely let her emotions show on her face.
By the time she had finished tasting the food she had a small ghost of a smile on her face, “I really liked it, China. It was really good.”
China’s expression brightened at the compliment, “Thank you aru.”
“Now”, Egypt slid the plate with her own food on it over to him, “Try mine.”
China looked at what was on the plate and he thought it looked delicious.
It was shawarma wrapped in pita bread with some salad on the side and some limoon to drink.
China was a little confused on how to eat it at first, seeing how eating with your hands was frowned upon in China, but Egypt reminded him that he was at her house so he could eat it with his hands.
So he ate it and to him it was delicious. It was a bit tangy and a bit warm but it still tasted good. If anything, those were the best parts of it.
China complimented her cooking, “It was very good! I really enjoyed the flavors and it went well together aru.”
Egypt looked at the ground, “Thank you China. I’m glad that you think so.”
The two were quiet for a bit before deciding on watching a movie.
‘Today,’ China thought, ‘was a fun day.’
The End
————————————————
So there’s my submission for Day 3!
Here’s some notes for what I did for the food:
Potsticker: A filled Chinese dumpling, typically crescent-shaped, especially one that is pan-fried until brown on one side, then turned and simmered in a small amount of broth.
Fried Rice: Rice that is first boiled or steamed then lightly fried in a pan, typically with egg, meat, or vegetables, and served as a main or side dish.
Spring Rolls: An Asian snack consisting of rice paper filled with minced vegetables and usually meat, rolled into a cylinder and fried.
Shawarma: Roasted meat, especially when cooked on a revolving spit and shaved for serving in sandwiches.
Limoon: Egyptian Lemonade.
Well, cya next time!
