I'm just a little confused.

currently thinking about Hawks personally. We see that when he's in public or when he's around people in general, he's always on that charismatic cool guy persona we all love. but when he's in missions we see him super serious and cauculist. that left me wondering if his charismatic self is just a facade. I think that due the things the Hero Comission putted him through he managed to hide his true self in missions. I also think that he is a actually smug little piece of sunshine type of guy in general, but when he's with people he's really close to, he manages to show the nuances of these both sides of his personality. What do you think?

Just going to go on record to say I don't really care for hawks that much, but I'll indulge ya

So, he's able to control his emotions fairly well because of all the spy work he does. During his work he needs to be alert and serious, but around people like the liberation front he just seems like carefree guy who wants to put people at ease because he wants to trick them into believing it.

Around endeavour he's quite happy and more genuine. I don't think that's false since he admires endeavour, and I don't think that admiration is false because of his childhood and how much he meant to hawks. Besides there is no real reason to fake his respect for him.

Around people like re-destro and dabi (someone he deems a threat) he's claims he's a loyal soldier and his personality is always just off.

Also, I kinda think his smug attitude isn't a facade since he knows he is strong/fast and acts the way he does around fans because he knows they find him attractive.
