Ehalakasa Slam: Stage Two Ehalakasa Slam is the most competitive-poetry event in Ghana and it encourages poets to compete as a means of raising the performance bar as well as promoting poetry to the masses. Last year the Slam which consisted of four events (four stages, including the grand final) to crown the champion discovered a number of new poets and audiences who fell in love with this art form. The Slam is open to all. Registration is done via email. Aspiring poets should send an email to ehalakasa[at]gmail[dot]com or reach out to on any of our Social Media platforms to begin the registration process which will, during the process, will require their name, contact number and social media contacts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr). The fee to participate in the Slam is GHC 15. There are only ten slots available for this month's slam. Registration is only finalized on a first come first served basis. Check out our social media pages in the coming days for more information about the Slam. All are encouraged to use the hash tag #EhalakasaSlam15 on social media when discussing the event. Ehalakasa!
