It's official, Jake was going insane.
You both sat on the floor of the practice room, giggling like no tomorrow as Jake cracked joke after joke. Your stomach hurt so much after laughing but you just couldn't stop.
"I'm so glad I could listen to the Bieber's new single, I was Justin time. " Jake's millionth joke sent you rolling on the floor.
Jake smiled fondly as you laughed wholeheartedly at his jokes, so glad that he finally got time to spend you with.
"We've been friends for almost a year now and yet you still havent run out of jokes. " you calmed down, wiping the stray tear that escaped from all your laughing.
"I'm just a naturally funny guy. " he threw multiple hand signs, trying to look cool.
"Seriously though, our one year friendiversary is coming up. I can't believe I put up with you for almost a year know. " Jake appluded himself, giggling as your scoffed and playfully hit his shoulder.
"Fine, I guess I'll just hang out with Jay from now on. " you rolled your eyes and pretended to get up to leave the room.
"Nuh uh! You're my bestie! " Jake said, imitating a five year old.
You and Jake met before his debut. You remember the day you met perfectly. You were the same practice room as now, listening to music while freestyling.
The happy little Aussie boy accidentally walked in on you dancing and was captivated by your dance style. You were freestyling to a One Direction song before you saw him staring at you in the mirror.
"Remember how you walked in on me dancing to One Direction? " you blurted out, taking Jake by surprise.
"Be more specific, that situation happened more than once. " he chuckled.
"When we first met. " you said, pointing to the door behind you, "I remember dancing and then seeing this smiley boy just staring at me in the mirror. "
"That boy was handsome though, wasn't he? Bet those were your first thoughts. "
"You wish. " you lied, those were exactly your first thoughts.
"Let's listen to One Direction! " he exclaimed, pulling out his phone.
Seconds later, a familiar melody played making you feel nostalgic.

The lyrics of '18' filled the room. Jake smiled at you, knowing that it was your favourite song.
"Didn't we meet when we were eighteen? " he asked, running his hand through his hair. You hummed in response, enjoying the song and the sound of Jake humming to it.
"When ever I hear this song, I always think of the Tiktok trend where they'd tell you to close your eyes until Louis says his line and then you'd see your bias or someone smiling at you. " you say. "I saw one of you. "
"Are you watching my Tiktoks (Y/N)? " Jake smirked at you.
"I follow the Enhypen tag, dummy. " you laughed.
The song played and when the famous part came on, your eyes fluttered shut as you listened to the lines of the song.

You opened your eyes as was met with the sparkling eyes of Jake staring right at you.
You didn't have time to register what was happening until you felt the soft lips of your best friends gently touching yours.

You both giggled at each other's puns. It was at that moment that Jake realised, you were his one thing. You were the one he couldn't get couldn't get out of his head.
