I see you have watched the ML NY special. Where the fuck did the "I don't want to disappoint her?" Come from? I am sorry (not) but no where. That's not in character.
It came from the writers seeing a resurgence of people being rightfully critical of Adrien’s character :) Thomas Astruc has been blocking people left and right when they dare to question why Adrien’s behavior is being portrayed as romantic, so they’re obviously trying to cover their asses and make Adrien “even better” to “prove us adrien haters wrong!!!”

Marinette has a force field that dose not let anyone Marinette dose not want near her come up a distance of more than 30 cm. Marinette makes sure to keep distance from pepole she dose not like, and can with a lot of effort and for very little time come closer to someone she dose not like. Marinette comes to dislike Chat Noir, and when he tries to get into her personal space without premission, he is scratched.
Keep your distance (2/?): Chat Noir tries to get into her personal space in a lot of different ways, and tries to shame her to stop the force field. Claiming that it hurts him, that she should let him get close to her, and also claiming that it stops her from being a good hero. He dose that once on live television, everyone is shocked. Paris comes to support Ladybug, and Adrien is angry. As good time as any to rexplain her power. Her force field is not really a force field. I can't really
Keep your distance (3/?): explain it. If it is a solid physical person, they are like a thousand invisible knives. Something I haven't mentioned is it also works on stuff that might kill her. Riposte's sword, a rock etcetera. It protects her from dying. Chat was very wrong about the force field causing her to be a bad hero. True, she can't save Chloe or Bob Roth, but she is much stronger because of the force field. Cat Blanc wants to destroy the entire universe? Not a problem, i'll survive.
Keep your distance (4/5): Etcetera. It dose not stop a lot of things as Akuma such as Reflecta's ray, Volpina's illusions, Lady WiFi symbols, etcetera. But they can't take her miraculous unless she is hypnotized or unconscious. So on with the plot. Adrien is generally angry, and after getting scratched because getting in her boundaries again, and tries to get into her space with cataclysm, and either dies, or get his hand cut up. Either way, everyone knows Adrien is Chat, and he can't be a hero.
Keep your distance (5/5): Plagg is being put back to the box (As he should be. Keeping the most important miraculi on the line is criminal level stupidity.). You can choose weather to have her be solo, or make a team.

These kinds of AUs are fine, because it doesn’t inherently change the way they interact, it just means Adrien has to face consequences for his actions, which is what this blog is all about.
